Archive for October, 2009

As many of you already know, I belong to the Knittable, the Stitch ‘n Bitch in Pisa! My friend Tiziana and I founded it in 2008 and it is now a great group of crazy knitters obsessed with knitting.

We have been invited by the yarn factory Effe-Elle to take part at the Hobby Show 2009 in Milano, October 16-18 with our knitting classes at their colourful and super yarnie stand. This was our first experience at a fair and we accepted the challange and headed to Milan all excited!

We have spent 3 amazing days amongst beautiful yarns, knitting needles, patterns and thousands and thousands of new ideas for the next fairs we will join and for the patterns to write own as soon as we would get home using Effe-Elle’s yarns.

It was real fun to teach classes to the kind ladies who wanted to learn…to take the knitting needles in their hands for the first time (teacher: Tiziana)

…to knit in colours (teacher Federica)…

…to use their hands to knit (teacher: Mette)…

As you can see Mette’s course on fingerknitting was so successful that we had to schedule an extra class on Saturday – look the crowd gathered around Mette and her group of aspiring finger-knitters!

We have also had the pleasure to met the members of the Stich ‘n Bitch from Milan, who we knew from the Ravelry, chats and knitting Forums.

A big thank you to Massimo and Carlo by Effe-Elle for inviting us to take part to Hobby Show. If  you want to have a look at their amazing yarn visit the website www.gomitoli.com
