Wool Crossing Making of

Dopo aver sbirciato dalla saracinesca per giorni in attesa di poter mettere mano a rulli e pennelli eccoci a lavoro!

Superato il momento iniziale di sconforto alla notizia che quel rosso pompeiano e giallo ocra alle pareti erano stati applicati con la tecnica dello stucco veneziano….ci procuriamo metri e metri di carta vetrata per grattare via le irregolarità e il lucido e poter così stendere il bianco come base per  il viola pastello.

Olio di gomito, pazienza e tanta voglia di vedere il risultato del nostro lavoro…..ed ecco  che le pareti di Wool Crossing sono pronte per poter accogliere i coloratissimi gomitoli che riempiranno ben presto gli scaffali!

After  days peeping at the shop from the rolling shutter patiently waiting the moment when we could hold  paintbrushes and paint rollers, here we are!  

What a surprise to discover that  the walls had been painted with the technique of the Venetian stucco in Pompeian red and ochre…which means metres and metres of sandpaper to get rid of the irregularities and of the gloss of the stucco to be able to paint a base of white for the pastel purple we wanted for the walls!

Elbow grease, hard work, and an incredible desire to see the result of our effort…and Wool Crossing’ s walls are now ready to welcome loads of colourful skeins!
