E’ arrivata la bella stagione ed arriva il momento in cui maglioni, cappelli, sciarpe, finiscono in massa nel cesto dei panni sporchi per essere rinfrescati e riposti nell’armadio per l’inverno successivo.
Già non è un momento piacevole….pensate poi quando nella lavatrice dei bianchi a 50° Giorgio finisce il guantino con copridita che avevo fatto per Giorgio a Natale!
Va beh… ma dato che sono naturalmente portata a trovare il risvolto positivo in tutte le cose, ecco come mi sono consolata:
- La lana che ho usato è ottima anche per il processo di infeltrimento.
- Non ha stinto.
- Adesso posso ricavare le proporzioni per poter rifare i guanti studiati appositamente per l’infeltrimento in modo da non lasciare passare l’aria quando Giorgio va in bici con -15° C.
It’s spring, the time of the year when sweaters, hats, scarves and all woolly clothes end up in the laundry basket to be washed and cleaned for the following winter.
It is not a fun chore, even less when the gloves with a flap I knitted for Giorgio this Christmas gets by mistake in the washing machine at 50° C!
By the way….as I tend naturally to see the positive side everywhere and anyhow this how I got over it:
- The yarn I used is perfect for felting.
- It is colourfast.
- Now I have the gauge to study the proportion to knit Giorgio a pair of gloves that will be specifically meant for felting and his hands will never again be freezing while cycling at -15° C.
